The Empty Nester Lounge is proud to announce the hiring of noted journalist Scrim Shaw as the marketing + public relations chief for the Empty Nester Brand and the organization's multiple news outlets.

Mr. Shaw is best known for his offbeat and consistently controversial articles in the now-defunct Tiny Mind Gazette. Before that role, he held an editorial position at the Wampatusset Yacht Club's member newsletter, The Pinnacle.

Between the TMG and WYC, Scrim was unaccounted for and presumed to be either dead or held by followers of the rock band Phish. Fortunately, these rumors were eventually proven wrong. Scrim had taken a much-needed respite from his writing and had joined a traveling Florida circus as a senior alligator wrestler.

Those familiar with his work have often compared him to a literary cocktail of Mark Twain, Ernest Hemingway, and Hunter S. Thompson.

A senior Empty Nester executive recently stated, "We look forward to Scrim Shaw's contribution to the celebration of lifestyle changes – once our children have left the nest."
